LINCOLN, Neb. - The Lady Raider softball team could not avoid a shutout as they fell 6-0 to #7 Nebraska today at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.

Nebraska got on base in the first off a double by Kim Ogee and a single by Nicole Trimboli, placing Cornhuskers on second and third with no outs. Pitcher Erin Crawford kept the next three batters off base, allowing no runs in the first.

In the second Kristi Robles logged Tech's first hit of the game, breaking a four game streak with no hits. In the third the Lady Raiders encountered the same situation as the first with a double by Ogee and single by Trimboli but would not escape Cornhusker runs with Ogee scoring on a Lisa Wangler fly out.

Nebraska entered into the fifth at the top of the batting order with Ogee, who for her third time of the day hit a double and was followed up a Trimboli single to score. Amber Burgess followed with a two-run homerun.

Nebraska scored two runs in the sixth off three hits. Making her first appearance since March 24, Kristina Blair entered the game as relief for Crawford who pitched 5.2 innings with five strikeouts. Blair allowed no hits and with Tech coming up hitless in the seventh, the Lady Raiders lost 6-0 to the Cornhuskers.

After playing two-series on the road, the Lady Raiders (16-36, 3-10) will host #4 Oklahoma, Fri. at 3 pm and Sat. at 1 pm.
