LUBBOCK, Texas - Oklahoma City pitcher Linsey Voss struck out 13 Red Raiders en route to her 10th shutout of the of the season as the Stars downed Tech, 4-0, in the first game of Tuesday afternoon's double header at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock, Texas.

Oklahoma City (37-8) got on the board first in the second inning as Kami Brokow reached on a throwing error by Staci Jackson. Katy Letts moved Brokow to third with a sacrifice bunt and later scored on a passed ball giving the Stars a 1-0 lead.

Tech (12-32, 1-11 Big 12) managed just three base runners in the game as it got a double from Andrea Joachims in the fifth and a pair of singles from Carmen Grindell in the second and Eva Harshman in the sixth.

The Stars would tack on three insurance runs in the top of the sixth when Alexandra Boily reached on an error by second baseman Rebecca Eimen and was driven home by Paula Garmen as she hit her 10th homerun of the season to left. OCU would make the score 4-0 when Brokow singled home Shelly McGowen who reached on a single.

These two teams will conclude their two-game series as Maggie Ayres squares off against Alex Boily.
