LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lady Raider softball team struck in the second with two runs but could not overcome a Sooner four run fifth inning, falling 6-2 to #5 Oklahoma today at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock, Texas. Tech logged eight hits against Oklahoma including a double by Elyssa Sigala, her eighth of the season.

A two hit inning would put Tech on the board beginning with a Lisa Lawler single which would leave bases loaded after Kristi Robles reached with a fielder's choice and Andrea Joachims on a walk. Tiffany Harrington followed with a two-RBI single to put Tech up 2-0 heading into the third. Oklahoma followed with two runs in the third, off three singles.

Tech again in the third loaded the bases off a double by Sigala, a walk by Kelly Rhyne and a single by Amanda Douglas. Joachims singled but the inning was cut short after Douglas was called on runners interference.

Erin Crawford came in with two men on in the fifth to relieve Stines. Oklahoma took the lead in the sixth with two runs off a double by Erin Evans. Kristin Vesely followed with a two-RBI single to push the Sooner lead to 6-4.

Tech (16-37, 3-12) will take on Oklahoma, for its final home conference game and Senior Appreciation Day, tomorrow at 1 pm.
