LUBBOCK, Texas - In its final home conference game, the Lady Raider softball team could not overcome an explosive Sooner team as they were defeated 10-0 today at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock, Texas. Oklahoma held the team to only one hit, a double by Andrea Joachims in the bottom of the fifth.

Oklahoma struck in the first with three runs. A two-run double by Leah Gulla started the drive and was capped off with run scored with Gulla crossing the plate. The Sooners scored two runs in the third off two hits by Erin Evans and Christina Enea. The fifth inning secured the Sooner win with a grand slam by pinch hitter Dana Askins.

Oklahoma went through three pitchers with no hits until the bottom of the fifth when Andrea Joachims broke the Sooner hitless game with a double to left field. However, Tech could not capitalize this and the game was called in the fifth, 10-0.

Tech (16-38, 3-13) will host Oklahoma City University, Tue. at 2 pm for a double header and New Mexico State University, Wed. at 1 pm.
