AMES, Iowa - The Lady Raiders finished out their conference season today with a 6-4 win over Iowa State in Ames, Iowa. This marks only the second time this season the team has come back to win after trailing at five innings.

Iowa State put a run up in the first off a single by Erica Martinez with the Lady Raiders heading into the second at zero. Martinez would increase the lead to 3-0 with a two-run homer in the third. Shortstop Kristi Robles hit a single in the third for the team's first hit of the game but no runs were scored.

In the sixth, second baseman Shayne Gipson lined a double down the right field line advancing to third on a Cyclone error. Robles followed with a RBI double. Designated player Kelly Rhyne tied up the ball game with a two-run homerun over the left field fence, her eighth homerun of the season. Iowa State's Julia Lindsey broke the tie with a single to left field.

In the seventh Tiffany Harrington led off for the Lady Raiders with a single up the middle. Perez followed with a single off a bunt. With players on first and second, Rhyne going 2-for-4 on the day hit a three-run homerun to seize the win at 6-4.

The Lady Raiders (21-39, 4-14) will head to Oklahoma City, Okla., Thursday for the 2003 Big 12 Tournament.
