OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Lady Raiders started out conference play against Texas A&M and finished play today with a 2-0 loss to the Aggies in the second round of play in the 2003 Big 12 Tournament Play, the first time A&M has beaten Tech in the Tournament. Tech beat A&M 4-1 in the conference opener but the Aggies cut short Tech's post season effort today in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Tech logged hits in the first with a bunt by Shayne Gipson and a drive down the center by Kelly Rhyne with the team allowing no hits. Designated player Lindsey Wilhelmson logged the Aggie's first hit with a one-run homerun over left field and the Aggies left the second with a one run lead.

Jana James hit a one-RBI single and pushed the Aggies to have players on second and third in the third. Wilhelmson came to the plate but would leave with a strikeout and a 2-0 lead.

Gipson broke Tech's hitless streak in the sixth with a single to left field, finishing 2-for-3 against the Aggies. Kristi Robles hit a long ball over to left field but Aggie Jana James reached out over the fence, robbing her of a homerun. Both teams logged hits in the sixth and seventh but no runs were scored, ending Tech's 2003 season with a 2-0 loss.
