THE BAYLOR SERIES
• Baylor improved to 31-11 all-time against Texas Tech with the win, including a 13-5 record in games played in Waco.
• Baylor's 10 runs matched its second-most all-time ever against Texas Tech in the series. The Lady Bears had previously defeated Texas Tech, 10-3, on April 6, 2011 in Lubbock.
• For the second-straight night, Baylor scored its most-ever runs in a game played in Waco. The Lady Bears had previously plated eight runs Thursday night.
• Texas Tech's five runs were its most in a loss since falling to Baylor, 14-9, on April 6, 2007, at home.

TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES
• The loss dropped the Red Raiders to 0-10 this year against top-25 teams.
• The Red Raiders fell to 1-5 this year in middle games of Big 12 series.
• Texas Tech committed four errors in the game, its most during Big 12 play this year. The Red Raiders have totaled seven errors in the first two games of the series alone.
• Baylor's six-run sixth marked the most runs surrendered by Texas Tech in an inning for a Big 12 opponent this year.
• Baylor's six-run sixth marked the most runs surrendered by Texas Tech in a single inning this year since UMKC scored six in the fourth inning on March 10.
• Texas Tech and Baylor each finished with 10 hits in the game. The Red Raiders were previously 3-2 this year and 13-5 all-time under Shanon Hays when being tied for hits.
• Texas Tech's four doubles in the game matched its season high during Big 12 play this year. The Red Raiders also connected on four doubles on April 19 at Iowa State.

Shanon Hays
• The loss dropped Hays to 264-93 overall and 150-77 while at Texas Tech. He is now 3-6 all-time against Baylor.

Lexie Elkins
• Elkins finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBI, marking her seventh multiple-hit game this season and sixth multiple-RBI performance.
• It was Elkins' first multiple-hit performance since going 2-for-4 in the Big 12 opener March 28 at Oklahoma State.

Sandy James
• James connected on her 17th double of the season to extend her Big 12 lead in the category. Her 17 doubles are tied for third all-time in Texas Tech single-season history with Logan Hall's total from the 2012 season.
• James finished 2-for-4 at the plate, marking her 14th multiple-hit game this year. She also drove in a pair of runs for her 10th multiple-RBI performance this year which is now tied with Adriana Perez and Mikey Kenney for the team high.

Shelby Johnson
• Johnson went 2-for-4 at the top of the lineup, marking her team-high 17th multiple-hit game this year.
• Johnson also stole her 19th base of the season. She is now just one shy of becoming just the sixth player in school history to swipe 20 or more in a season and the first since Ashley Parker totaled 24 stolen bases in 2007.

Gretchen Aucoin
• Aucoin connected on her fourth double of the season to lead off the sixth inning. The hit extended her season-long hitting streak to six-straight games.
