LUBBOCK, Texas --The Texas Tech fastpitch softball team hosts Abilene Christian University in a doubleheader Tuesday. The games are slated for 1 and 3 p.m. at the Berl-Huffman Complex.

Tech is currently 10-4 on the season and is led by a pair of freshmen. Sandy Butler leads the squad with a .500 batting average while Amanda Renfro is Tech's starting pitcher with an earned run average of 0.26.

The Wildcats come to Lubbock with a 3-3 record. They are lead by Chantiel McDonnell and pitcher Shelly Owen. McDonnell leads the team with a .579 batting average. The Wildcats return 10 starters from a team that went 38-19 last season.
