Lubbock, TX -

The Texas Tech softball team will play its home opener on Wednesday, March 10, against New Mexico State in a doubleheader beginning at 1:00p.m. at the Texas Tech Intramural Fields.

The Red Raiders enter the contest with 13-15 season record while the Aggies come to town with a 3-15 record. Texas Tech won the last meeting between the two team 6-2 on March 3, 1997. The Red Raiders hold the series record 2-1.

Tech is led by seniors Paula Workman and Kim Martinez who have a combined 46 hits on 170 at-bats.
