LUBBOCK, Texas - The #23 Texas Tech Red Raider softball team will play Abilene Christian in a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 2 p.m. in Abilene.

The Wildcats return 10 starters from last season's 38-19 squad. They are 21-12 on the season. Tech holds a 4-0 series record over ACU. In a meeting earlier this season, Tech shutout the Wildcats 6-0 before taking an 8-2 win in game two at the Berl Huffman Complex.

"This will be a chance for us to take a break from Big 12 play before getting into the meat of our conference schedule," Texas Tech Head Coach Renee Luers-Gillispie said.

The Red Raiders are currently 35-11 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play. Last weekend the Red Raiders posted a victory over Kansas and took two from defending Big 12 Champions and eighth-ranked Missouri.

Tech will return to the Berl Huffman Complex on Saturday as they host crucial Big 12 games against Oklahoma State on Saturday and Oklahoma on Sunday. Doubleheader action will begin at noon on both days.
