LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech senior pitcher Amanda Renfro appears in the top 50 of two categories in the NCAA statistics this week, the first national stats compilation of the 2001 season.

The Lutheran North High School product is listed fourth in the nation in winning percentage, and her 21 victories ties her for second in number of wins with Alabama's Shelley Laird and Melissa Coronado of Louisiana-Lafayette. Renfro also stands tied with two others with a 0.94 earned run average, good for 45th in the national rankings thus far this season.

The Houston, Texas, native lowered her ERA to 0.89 with 12 shutout innings in Tuesday's doubleheader split with Oklahoma City University. Renfro carried a perfect game into the seventh inning of the first game before a solid single to left to start the final inning ended her bid for a second perfect game this season. She also came on to throw five innings of hitless relief in the second contest, and struck out 23 batters in the two games.

The Red Raiders host Kansas this weekend at Rocky Johnson Field, with game time set for 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
