LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders travel to Waco, Texas, for a Wednesday doubleheader at 4 & 6 p.m. against the Baylor Lady Bears at Getterman Stadium on the BU campus. Baylor comes into the contest 30-14 overall, 2-3 in Big 12 action after dropping a pair of one-run decisions to 15th-ranked Nebraska this past weekend at home.

Tech has not fared well against BU over the years, with the Lady Bears holding a 10-2 advantage in the series. Last season Baylor swept a doubleheader in Lubbock, 3-1 and 7-6.

BU also swept a pair of games in 1999 in Waco, 3-1 and 2-1. Tech's only victories in the series came in 1998 when the Red Raiders swept a twinbill at home, 2-0 and 7-6.

The Lady Bears won three times in 1997, taking a 6-1 decision early in the season at the Troy Cox Invitational, and winning by identical scores of 1-0 in a regular season contest and at the Big 12 Tournament. Baylor also won all three meetings in 1996, all of which took place at the Red Raider Invitational, by scores of 9-0, 13-6 and 2-1.

Tech hosts defending national champion Oklahoma this weekend, with Friday contest set for 2 p.m. and Saturday's game at noon at Rocky Johnson Field.
