LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lady Raider softball team will travel to Lincoln, Neb., to take on the #7 Cornhuskers tomorrow at 2 pm and Sunday at noon. The Lady Raiders (16-34, 3-9) are coming off a split series with Baylor.

Freshman Arlene Newton, garnering a .482 slugging percentage with nine doubles, leads the team into the series along with shortstop Shayne Gipson who holds a team high 45 hits. Senior Esmerelda Perez is currently on a five game hitting streak dating back to the second game versus #6 Texas.

A win for the team would also give Head coach Bobby Reeves his 100th win. Reeve has accumulated 66 of these wins during his time at Tech.
