LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech men's basketball coach Billy Gillispie will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday's softball series opener against No. 5 Texas. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Rocky Johnson Field.

Gillispie, who was named Tech's 14th men's basketball coach in late March, will also sign autographs for fans on the stadium concourse beginning at 5:15 p.m. Texas Tech will provide autographs cards and fans are encouraged to limit autographs to one item per person.

Fans should get to the stadium early as Gillispie will be signing autographs until 5:45 p.m. Tickets are priced at $5 for adults and $3 for students.
