Texas Tech Tennis Teams in Action This Weekend in Separate Tournaments

Red Raider men's squad to travel to Texas Christian while women play at UT-Arlington

LUBBOCK, Texas - Both the Texas Tech men's and women's tennis teams will play this weekend in separate tournaments. The men's squad will play their last fall invitational this weekend in the Rolex Southwest Regional Qualifying Tournament at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth while the women's squad will play at the University of Texas-Arlington's Invitational.

Four Red Raider men including senior Tylir Jimenez, junior Petar Danolic and sophomores Ryan Shupe and Adam Baranowski will travel to Texas Christian to compete in the Rolex Tournament beginning on Thursday (Oct. 23). All four players will compete in the singles division while the teams of Danolic and Baranowski and Jimenez and Shupe will team up in doubles competition. Jimenez and Shupe enter the doubles division as the No. 3 seeded team.

The Texas Tech women's squad will travel to the University of Texas-Arlington for fall competition over the week beginning on Friday, Oct. 24 and ending Sunday, Oct., 26. The women's squad have one more invitational remaining before the team is off until the spring season.
