Samantha Adams is the cornerstone of the new era of Lady Raider Tennis. She will leave the South Plains as the winningest doubles player and the second winningest player in the modern era at Texas Tech. A second-generation Red Raider, Adams has won more accolades than any player in program history. She has played five different positions in the singles lineup and all three positions in the doubles lineup since arriving in the fall of 2010.

2010-2011 (FRESHMAN):
Was named the ITA Texas Region Rookie of the Year ... Named All-Big 12 doubles with teammate Kelsy Garland ... finished 25-12 overall and 7-4 in conference as the No. 2 singles player ... set a school record with 16 wins at the No. 2 position ... 7-4 in Big 12 player when teamed with Kelsy Garland at No. 1 doubles with an overall record of 21-13 ... finished the fall 8-5 in singles and 7-5 in doubles with Kelsy Garland ... combined to go 46-25 during the season, which is tied for the seventh-best performance by a Lady Raider in the modern era ... finished the season ranked No. 19 in the Texas Region in singles and No. 10 in doubles.

PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH:
Graduated from New Braunfels High School in May 2010 ... played for David Mueller at New Braunfels ... also worked with Jimmy Brown of Newks Academy ... helped lead her team to the 2008, 2009, and 2010 State Team Tennis championships ... claimed the 2010 UIL 5A State Championship mixed-doubles title for the Unicorns with her brother, Harrison ... second in state girls doubles with sister in 2008 and 2009 ... the New Braunfels High School graduate was ranked fourth in Texas and was listed 45th nationally ... presented the Mary Lowdon Award by the USTA Texas Awards Committee at the Texas Summer Grand Slam event ... named a five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting Network ... teamed with Texas Tech's Kelsy Garland to win the 2010 ITA Summer Circuit doubles title held July 9-12 in Abilene, Texas.
