2010-2011: Earned All-Big 12 double honors with teammate Samantha Adams ... finished with a 17-13 overall and finished 5-6 in conference...21-12 overall in doubles and 7-4 in conference with Samantha Adams at No. 1 doubles ... finished the fall 3-5 in singles and 7-5 in doubles with Samantha Adams.


Kelsy finished the season with a record of 14-15 in singles and 13-11 in doubles matches (combined fall and spring)...in dual matches, she was 4-4 at No. 2 singles, 4-3 at No. 3 singles, and 5-3 at No. 4 singles...Kelsy was 6-4 in her last ten singles matches...overall she had a 13-11 doubles record for the season and had a 12-8 mark in doubles in dual matches, including a 10-7 record at No. 1 doubles and 2-1 at the second spot...after three seasons, she is 7th on the all-time career singles victories list with 55 wins and is also 7th on the career doubles list with 57 victories...holds down the top spot and the 7th spot for singles victories in a single season with 10 wins at the No. 2 spot in 2008 and 13 wins at the No.2 position in 2009...during the season, Kelsy and doubles partner, Natalie Leitch, were ranked No. 78 in the ITA national rankings...earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 honors for the second time in her Texas Tech career as the Lady Raiders earned the All-Academic Team honor from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association...teamed with incoming freshman Samantha Adams to claim the 2010 ITA Summer Circuit doubles title held July 9-12 in Abilene, Texas.


Posted an overall record of 20-14 in her sophomore season, was 13-11 in dual matches, won 7 of 10 matches in tournament play, and was 5-6 in Big 12 conference play ... tied with teammate Natalie Leitch for the second-most wins on the squad with 20 victories ... played #2 singles for the entire season ... Kelsy's 5-6 conference record was the second best on the squad and matched by Stephanie Peana and Samantha van der Drift ... played #1 doubles for the entire season and was paired with Samantha van der Drift throughout the year ... earned a 20-10 overall mark with a 15-8 record in dual matches, was 5-2 in tournament play, and 6-4 in Big 12 doubles matches ... Kelsy and Samantha were 2-0 when playing nationally ranked doubles ... earned All-Big 12 Doubles honors with playing partner Samantha van der Drift ... member of the 2009 Academic All-Big 12 First Team ... Kelsy and Samantha van der Drift earned #65 ITA Division 1 Doubles national ranking at the end of the season.


Made her Lady Raider debut posting a 21-13 singles record, 12-10 in duals, 5-6 in the Big 12 playing in the No. 1, 2, and 3 positions ... was flawless in three-set matches (4-0), tiebreakers (5-0), and clinching victories (2-0) ... held a 11-6 home record, 10-7 road record, 5-3 in neutral sites ... broke into the single season doubles record books with a 24-12 overall record ... went 11-2 during the fall with teammate Janet Durham, winning both the Mean Green, Scarborough Specialties, and Air Force Invitationals ... during the spring teamed with Samantha van der Drift at No. 1 (5-3) and Simone Templeton at No. 3 (7-5).

Graduated from Coronado High in Lubbock, Texas in May 2007 ... coaches were Jim Carter and David Denham ... won District 5A Doubles Championship in 2006 and 2007, and was a state finalist her sophomore year ... received All-District singles and doubles honors ... played No. 1 doubles her sophomore, junior and senior years ... team won 2003 District 5A State Championship and advanced to state championships in 2004 and 2007 ... ranked No. 1 by USTA 18's in doubles competition ... member National Honor Society.


Born March 9, 1989 in Lubbock, Texas ... parents are Greg and Michele Garland ... has two sisters - Keely and Karly ... enjoys traveling, waterskiing, and going to the beach ... majoring in Early Childhood Education with plans to attend graduate school to become a speech pathologist.
