Kendall Brooks is in her second season as the assistant women's tennis coach for the Lady Raiders. Brooks, a native of Corpus Christi, was four-year letterwinner at Texas Tech and graduated in 2004 with a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences.
Brooks was a standout player at Texas Tech for four years and a team captain for two seasons. She was named first-team Academic All-Big 12 during her time at Tech and was honored as a 2004 ITA Academic All-American. During her senior campaign, Brooks played at the No. 2 spot in singles and saw most of her time at the No. 1 spot in doubles. In the fall of 2003, Brooks and her doubles partner, Irina Tereschenko, qualified for the ITA All-American Tournament. The doubles team also earned Preseason All-Big 12 honors. Brooks graduated as the Top Senior and received the Top Graduating Senior Award for Tennis.
Brooks attended Mary Carroll High School where she was named MVP for two consecutive years and was a four-time all-district selection. Brooks also served as the team captain.
Brooks' parents and brother, Cory, 30, reside in Corpus Christi. Cory is a tennis coach. Brooks' sister, Carrie Wilkin, 33, resides in Austin with her husband, Kurt and their two sons, Luke, 5, and Brady, 3.
