Katie Munger is in her third season as a member of the strength and conditioning staff working with Lady Raider tennis.
Munger graduated from William Jewell College in Missouri in 2003 with a bachelor of arts in Biology. She proceeded to earn her master's of education at Lubbock Christian University with an emphasis in secondary education.
Munger played basketball for William Jewell College from 2000-2003 and was named NAIA All-American honorable mention in the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 seasons. She also received All-Conference honors from 2000-2003.
After graduation, she served as the assistant women's basketball coach for LCU and was in charge of development and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the team. During this time she was granted certification as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
In 2004 Munger came to Texas Tech and remains serving as assistant strength and conditioning coach for Lady Raider basketball, women's tennis, softball, soccer and baseball.
She also has recently been certified as a strength and conditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches.
Munger is married to Tech athletic trainer Larry Munger.
