Browning defeated Sammis, 7-6, 6-4, and sophomore Alexandra Zotta lost to Harris, 4-6, 6-3 (4-6). Kovacic did not finish her match against Schmulbach. Wagley defeated Ingrid Stockinger, 6-4, 6-1, to round out the Lady Raiders' doubles play. "For the most part, we had to get over some first match jitters," said head coach Cari Groce. "There was some nervousness and it showed in the doubles, we didn't play up to our potential in the doubles court. I thought we played good singles. Going down, we had to get the momentum back for singles having lost the doubles point, and they did. We feel good about getting that first win of the season and getting everything off on the right foot." The Lady Raiders will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., where they will take on Colorado State at noon on Feb. 13.
