Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech women's tennis defeated the UTEP Miners, 7-0, in Albuquerque, on Saturday. The Lady Raiders are now 4-0 on the season. Tech now leads the series with the Miners, 11-2.

Tech took the doubles point with three victories. At No. 1, Tara Browing and Lakann Wagley topped King and Pritchard, 8-2. At No. 2, No. 23 Katja Kovacic and Erin Hunter defeated Wilkerson and Spirta, 8-2. At No. 3, Cigdem Duru and Janet Durham edged Michaud and Brightly, 8-1.

At No. 1 singles, Browning took sets from Wilkerson, 6-1, 6-2. At No. 2, Duru didn't let up a point to Pritchard, 6-0, 6-0. At No.3, Durham edged Palider 6-0, 4-6, 10-5. At No. 4, Kovacic topped Spirta in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0. At No. 5, Samantha van der Drift beat Michaud, 6-2, 6-1. At No. 6, Hunter edged Brightly 6-3, 7-5.
