Lubbock, Texas - No. 65 Texas Tech women's tennis fell to the No. 42 Colorado Buffaloes, in Boulder, Colo., 5-2, on Saturday. The squad is now sitting at 5-4 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play. In doubles action, at No. 1, Tara Browning and Lakann Wagley topped Monica Milewski and Jessica Vanderdys, 8-4. At No. 2, Ewa Losinski and Gleisy Torres Torres edged Cigdem Duru and Janet Durham, 9-7. Katja Kovacic and Erin Hunter, at No. 3, defeated Franziska Jendrian and Veera Nurmi, 8-6. In singles play, at No.1, Vanderdys topped Browning, 6-2, 6-3. At No. 2, Duru edged Milewski, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1. Durham fell to Losinski, 6-4, 2-6, 6-3, at the No. 3 spot. At No. 4, Nurmi beat van der Drift, 6-0, 6-4. At No. 5, Jendrian edged Wagley, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7). At No. 6, Torres Torres swept Hunter, 6-3, 6-1.
