The Texas Tech women's tennis team lost to No. 35 Oklahoma State Cowgirls, 7-2 in Lubbock at the Tennis Center. Tech's record falls to 1-6 overall, 0-1 in Big 12. OSU's record improves to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in Big 12.

In singles action, Tech earned its only two points. On court two, Ayako Suzuki won in three sets against OSU's Dominka Olszewska, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4. Michelle Colaninni, freshmen defeated Marketa Chmelova, 7-6 (6), 7-5 in position four. On court six, walk-on Renee Pereira took Cameron Stoudt to three sets, but could not muster enough, losing 1-6, (8) 7-6, 4-6.

The nationally ranked Cowgirls swept the Red Raiders in doubles. On court one, Earhart and Suzuki lost to Galoustova and Dolman 8-4. Earhart and Suzuki's record drops below the 500 mark to 3-4 overall.

The Red Raiders are on the road for their next three contests all against conference opponents starting March 3 at Iowa State.
