Women's Tennis Evens Conference Record March 3, 2000 AMES, Iowa-Texas Tech women's team began a three-day road trip against Big 12 conference opponents. Tech defeated Iowa State 5-4. Tech's record improves to 1-1 in the league and 2-6, while the Cyclones drop to 0-4 in the Big 12, 2-4 overall. Texas Tech took care of business on the singles court, winning five out of six matches. Amanda Earhart the only senior on the squad improves to 1-1, 3-5 by defeating ISU's Noortje Cornelissen, 7-5, 6-3, No. 1 singles play. Michelle Colanini and Ayako Suzuki remain undefeated in the Big 12 at No. 4 and No. 2. The Cyclones swept the Red Raiders in doubles. In the No. 1 position, Earhart and Suzuki fell to ISU's Cornelissen and Karin Westberg, 8-4. Earhart and Suzuki's record falls to 0-2 in Big 12 and 3-5 overall.
