Lubbock, Texas - No. 66 Texas Tech women's tennis earned their second Big 12 win of the early 2006 season with a 5-2 victory over the Missouri Tigers. The squad is now sitting at 2-1 in Big 12 play and 7-4 overall.

Tech won the doubles point after, at No. 1, Tara Browing and Lakann Wagley defeated Hana Kraftova and Chrissy Svetlic, 8-3, and Cigdem Duru and Janet Durham cruised past Val Dandik and Yelena Olshanskaya, 8-1, at No. 2.

In singles action Tech secured the win over the Tigers with victories at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6. At No. 1, Browning toppled Kraftova, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 2, Duru edged Olshanskaya, 6-2, 6-3. Durham won at No. 3 with a victory over Lubica Nadasska, 6-1, 6-1. At No. 6, Katja Kovacic took a win from Amanda Pratzel, 6-3, 6-3.

The Lady Raiders will face No. 72 Kansas on Sun., March 5, at 10 a.m.
