NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - The Texas Tech women's tennis team ended a four-match win streak by Cal-State Northridge as the Red Raiders dropped the Matdaors 4-3 in a non-conference match in Northridge, Calif.

Tech's Alena Ovin defeated Rani Setawati 6-4 and 8-6 while Beverly Dawson defeated Kendra Segura 2-0. Tech won the singles point when Kendall Brooks dropped Brittany Blerman 6-3 and 6-4.

Texas Tech won the doubles point on the heals of Irina Tereschenko and Beverly Dawson and Alena Olvin and Kendall Brooks. Tereschenko and Dawson defeated Tereza Simonyan 8-3 while Olvin/Brooks dropped Kendra Segura and Brittany Blerman.

Texas Tech (3-5, 1-1) will take on UC-Irvine at 4 p.m. today in Irvine, Calif.
