No. 30 Oklahoma State Edges No. 33 Texas Tech, 4-3|

Stillwater, Okla. – It came down to the wire, but No. 30 Oklahoma State held on for a slim 4-3 win over No. 33 Texas Tech at the Greenwood Tennis Center on Sunday.
With the score knotted at 3-3, OSU’s Maria Alvaraz battled back from a 2-0 deficit in the third to pull past Tech’s Beatriz Machado Santos, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-4.
The day started with the No. 48 tandem of Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo upsetting No. 37 Viktoriya Lushkova and Kanyapat Narattana, 8-6, at No. 1 doubles to secure the first point of the day. That win followed Machado Santos and Lynn Kiro’s win at No. 3, 8-2, over Oklahoma State’s Katarina Adamovic and Karyn Guttormsen.
The Cowgirls tied the score at 1-1, when Megan McCray defeated Teltumbde, 7-5, 6-2, but The Lady Raiders regained the lead when Adams picked up the win over Tur Mari, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
OSU again battle back to tie the score, 2-2, with No. 83 Lushkova’s 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 win over Kilgo at No. 1. Kiro gave Tech back the lead, 3-2, thanks to a 6-3, 6-3 win over Adamovic at No. 4.
Narattana tied the score, 3-3 with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 upset of No. 117 Sanders at No. 3, setting up the showdown at No. 6 singles.
Texas Tech returns to action on Friday in Morgantown, W.Va., when the Lady Raiders will face West Virginia at noon.
