LINCOLN, Neb. - The Texas Tech women's tennis team lost its Big 12 match this afternoon to Nebraska by a score of 8-1 at Nebraska's woods Tennis Center. The loss to the No. 46 ranked Cornhuskers drops Texas Tech to a record of 2-11 on the season. The team is now 1-6 in Big 12 play.

The Huskers swept the Red Raiders in singles play. In the doubles portion of the match, Tech got their only point when Amanda Earhart and Ayako Suzuki defeated Nebraska's Gina Pelazini and Sandra Noetzel by a score of 8-4.

Texas Tech continues their road trip this weekend when they face Colorado in Boulder on Sunday, March 26, at 10 a.m.
