Texas Tech women's tennis finished their three-day road trip with a loss against Houston on Sunday, April 2. Tech fell 7-2 dropping their record to 3-14 on the year, while Houston improves to 8-10.

Tech earned their two victories in positions No. 3 and 4 in singles action. Freshman, Sonnia Orellana defeated Houston's Joanne Cualiffe, 6-4, 6-2. Orellana improves her record to 6-11 making her second on the team in dual match wins. Sophomore, Noel Ruiz won at the four position over Jen Baccorani. Ruiz won two matches this weekend improving her record to 5-12.

The Red Raiders have three matches remaining, all being conference opponents. Tech will battle in-state rival Texas A&M on Friday, April 7 at the Athletic Training Center.
