LUBBOCK, Texas - The 74th-ranked Lady Raiders were swept by the 30th-ranked Lady Aggies in front of a crowd of 693 at the Texas A&M Tennis Center.

Texas Tech lost its sixth straight match of the season, falling to 2-10 and 2-7 in Big 12 play.

Jessica Roland defeated Irina Tereschenko 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (6). Ashley Hedberg defeated Beverly Dawson 6-4, 6-1. Roberta Spencer defeated Kendall Brooks 6-3, 6-1. Lauren Walker defeated Anchen Lombard 6-0, 6-3. Nicki Mechem defeated Tara Browning 6-3, 6-1. Seva Iwinski defeated Katja Kovacic 6-4, 6-2.

Irina Tereschenko/Beverly Dawson had the only win of the day with a defeat over Jessica Roland/Roberta Spencer 8-5. Ashley Hedberg/Lauren Walker defeated Kendall Brooks/Tara Browning 8-3. Seva Iwinski/Nicki Mechem defeated Katja Kovacic/Barbara Schraml 8-2.

The women's tennis team will finish out the remainder of the weekend in Houston against the Lady Cougars at 11 a.m. today, April 5.
