HOUSTON, Texas - The Lady Raiders were defeated by the Lady Cougars in a non-conference match Saturday at the John E. Hoff Varsity Courts in Houston.

Texas Tech lost its seventh straight match of the season, falling to 2-11 and 2-7 in Big 12 play.

Kendall Brooks and Tara Browning were victorious in their singles matches. Brooks defeated Karine Urbin 6-4, 6-1. Browning defeated Kami Miller 7-6, 6-0. The doubles tandem of Tereschenko/Dawson had a successful match, defeating Foley/Terblanche 8-3.

The Lady Raiders will return to conference play next weekend as they head to Oklahoma. Texas Tech will play Oklahoma State on April 11 and Oklahoma on April 12.
