Women's Tennis Drops Match to Kansas|

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Texas Tech women's tennis team captured just one point in an 8-1 loss to No. 13 Kansas Saturday at the Robinson Courts in Lawrence, Kansas. The Red Raiders fall to 9-9 overall and 4-5 in the Big 12 while Kansas holds onto the conference lead.
Sophomore Amanda Earhart nabbed Tech's only point of the match, defeating the Jayhawk's Kris Sell in No. 2 singles. Earhart pushed through in three sets, winning 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (5) to notch her third conference victory this year. Freshman Zana Zlebnik was narrowly defeated by No. 30 Christine Sim, loosing 7-5 in the third set.
Tech failed to record a doubles win, as Christine Van Regenmorter and Lakshmi Ravindra fell 8-5 in the No. 1 slot and the Zlebnik-Misty Meyer pair dropped a 9-8 decision in No. 3 doubles.
The Red Raiders will travel to Missouri Sunday for a 2 p.m. match in Columbia, Mo. The squad will play at Texas next Saturday, April 18 to end the regular season.
