Samantha Adams Paces Lady Raiders In Arkanasas
September 21, 2012 LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – No. 76 Samantha Adams pull off the biggest upset of her Texas Tech fall career, as the junior toppled No. 55 Caroline Rohde-Moe, 6-4, 7-6 (7-6) during the first round of the Little Rock Invitational Hidden Duals at the Little Rock Country Club on Friday. The win marked Adams’ biggest fall performance of her career, while her previous best fall performance was an upset of No. 113 Alina Shazhko of Stephen F. Austin last October. The No. 6 tandem of Adams also teamed with Kenna Kilgo to cruise past Yang Pang and Kimberly-Ann Surin, 8-5. Sandra Dynka and Kelli Hine cruised to an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles over Ana Lorena Belmar and Kristen Mee of Arkansas. Other singles winners in Little Rock were Kenna Kilgo at No. 2 and Caroline Stark at No. 4. In Las Vegas, Rashmi Teltumbde and Nikki Sanders rolled to an 8-3 win over South Alabama’s Emily Newton and Mary Angela Martin in Flight No. 1.
