Women's Tennis Wins 11 of 12 Matches on Final Day

LUBBOCK, Texas - The final day of competition has concluded at the Lobo Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with Texas Tech winning 11 of their 12 singles and doubles matches on Sunday. Natalie Leitch (Highland Park, Texas) won her four singles matches in Flight A. Kerryn Potgieter (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) and Stefanie Peana (Austin, Texas) each won their four singles matches in Flight B during the competition. After receiving a bye on Friday, Lorena Aviles (Guayaquil, Ecuador) won her three remaining Flight B singles matches. Overall, the Lady Raiders won 24 of their 30 singles matches at the Lobo Invitational. In doubles play, Texas Tech won all four matches today and seven of their eleven match-ups during the competition. Coach Petty's squad travels to Columbia, Missouri for the Mizzou "Ace for a Cure" from October 2-4. Their final tournament of the fall campaign will be the ITA Regionals in Waco from October 16-20.
