LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team wrapped up the second day of the ITA Regionals with a victory in doubles competition. Junior Tara Browning and Freshman Cigdem Duru advance to the next round of 16 to face Story Tweedie-Yates and Kewa Nichols of TCU.

In doubles action, freshman Janet Durham and sophomore Lakann Wagley lost a tough match to TCU's Helena Besovic and Karla Mancinas (9-7), while Katja Kovacic and Erin Hunter also lost in their doubles match. Browning and Duru advance to the next round tomorrow.

In singles action, Browning defeated Jenny Kuhn (6-3, 6-3) and will face Camila Caliari in the next round of the singles main draw. In the qualifying consolation matches, Janet Durham will face teammate Erin Hunter in the quarterfinals.
