LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis duo of junior Katja Kovacic and freshman Erin Hunter advanced to the final round of the doubles consolation today at the George P. Mitchell Center in College Station, Texas.

The tandem of Hunter and Kovacic will face Helga Vieira and Lauren Walker of Texas A&M at noon tomorrow. Vieira and Walker defeated Tech's Janet Durham and Lakann Wagley in a close match (8-6) on the way to the finals.

Lady Raider Coach Cari Groce believes it will be a tough match since Vieira and Walker defeated Durham and Wagley in the first round but knows they can win.

"I think we got a good shot at beating them tomorrow," Groce said. "It was a close match when they faced Wagley and Durham, so I think it will be a tough match, but we are looking forward to it."

The Lady Raiders will conclude the final day of the Wilson/ITA Regionals tomorrow at the George P. Mitchell Center in College Station, Texas. Log on to www.AggieAthletics.com for complete results.
