LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis squad wrapped up play at the ITA Southwest Regional as Sophomore Simone Templeton won a total of six matches during the tournament.

Templeton advanced to the semifinals by beating Julie Mazinova of Louisiana-Monroe 6-4, 6-4. She fell in the semifinals 6-1, 6-1 to Kayla Duncan of TCU. Templeton won six matches over the four-day tournament.

Sophomore Kelsy Garland won her only match of day 6-2, 6-2 over Rebekka Hanle of Rice.

Senior Samantha van der Drift won her quarterfinals match with No. 15 Rice's top player Julie Chao 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 to advance. In the semifinals Whitney Wolf beat van der Drift 6-4, 6-2 to end her run.

This tournament was the last of the fall for the Lady Raiders, as they will return to the courts in January for duals action.
