Kenna Kilgo won a pair of matches on Friday in Houston.

Texas Tech had mixed results as it split its squad, sending half the team to Houston and half the team to Albuquerque.
In Houston at the University of Houston Cougar Classic, Texas Tech won five of six matches on Friday.
Junior Kenna Kilgo led the way, as she topped Polina Konop of Northwestern State, 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 in the Flight 1 quarterfinals. Lynn Kiro, competing in the same bracket, topped Despoina Vogasari of Houston, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Kansas’ Maria Jose Cardona won in three sets over Tech’s No. 61 Samantha Adams, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) in the Flight 2 quarterfinals.
In the Flight 4 singles quarterfinals, Rashmi Teltumbde picked up a straight set win over Lamar’s Dariya Dashutina, 6-3, 6-2.
In doubles, Adams and Kilgo rolled into the semifinals with an 8-2 win over Rice’s Liat Zimmerman and Alison Ho, while Teltumbde and Kiro crushed Texas State’s Monica Pieratt and Pippa Carr, 8-1.
In Albuquerque at the UNM Fall Invitational, Texas Tech went 3-3 on the first day of play.
In doubles, Toti and Machado Santos topped Northern Arizona’s Hailey Rochin and Tatum Rochin, 8-5.
