TEMPE, Ariz. - The Texas Tech Women's Tennis team saw both of its doubles teams advance in the consolation bracket today at the Arizona State Thunderbird Invitational.

The doubles duo of Irina Tereschenko and Beverly Dawson improved their fall season record to 7-2 as they defeated Balk/Schurr of Northern Arizona 8-5 in the consolation half of the bracket. In other consolation action, the team of Kendall Brooks and Tara Browning defeated the team of Heppell/Livesay of San Diego 8-5.

The semifinals of the consolation bracket get underway at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning in Tempe, Ariz.
