Lady Raiders Have Strong Showing On First Day In Orlando|
Rashmi Teltumbde was one of three Lady Raiders to go 2-0 in Orlando onthe first day of the UCF Invitational.

ORLAND, Fla. - Texas Tech went 5-2 in singles and 2-1 in doubles during the split squad action at the first day of the UCF Invitational on Saturday.
The triangular event, which features No. 46 Texas Tech, No. 71 Rice and host UCF uses a split squad format as a warmup for the dual match season.
Samantha Adams, Caroline Starck and Elizabeth Ullathorne each secured wins over opponents from UCF, while Sandra Dynka, Kenna Kilgo, Rashmi Teltumbde and Nikki Sanders split matches with Rice in singles action.
In doubles, the nationally-ranked tandem of Kilgo and Adams dropped UCF's Alexis Rodriguez and Genevieve Lorbergs, 8-6. Teltumbde and Ullathorne teamed to defeat Rice's Kaie Gater and Stephanie Nguyen, 8-5, while Nikki Sanders and Caroline Stark fell to the Rice duo of Natalie Beazant and Dominique Harmath, 8-4.
The teams return to action on Sunday and will conclude play on Monday.
