Texas Tech Continues Strong Play at UCF Invitational




Elizabeth Ullathorne has gone 4-0 in singles and doubles through two days at the UCF Invitational.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders had another strong showing at the UCF Invitational on Sunday.

Texas Tech cruised to three doubles wins led by the nationally-ranked tandem of Samantha Adams and Kenna Kilgo, who cruised past Rice’s Ana Guzman and Daniella Trigo, 8-2.  

In singles play, Caroline Stark battle back for a three-set win over Guzman, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5, while Adams then fell in a three-set marathon to Rice’s Natalie Beazant, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4. Sandra Dynka, Kenna Kilgo and Nikki Sanders each added straight set wins. Rashmi Teltumbde was leading UCF’s Allison Hodges, 6-2, 1-0, when she had to retire due to an ankle injury.

The Lady Raiders return to action on Monday for the third and final day of action at the UCF Invitational.
