Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech men's and women's tennis have less then a month to go before the start of the season but the hype has already started surrounding these programs. In the first ITA ranking of the season, the men's squad sits at No. 23 in the country and the women are ranked No. 61.

The women's squad has also been awarded single and doubles rankings. Senior Tara Browning is sitting at No. 75 in singles play. The doubles pairing of Katja Kovacic and Erin Hunter are ranked No. 23 in the nation.

Lady Raider tennis will begin their spring season Wed., Feb. 1, at 12 p.m., as they host Abilene Christian at the McLeod Tennis Center. Red Raider tennis will open up their spring schedule as they host Prairie View A&M, Sat., Feb. 4, at 9 a.m., at the McLeod Tennis Center.
