LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raider Club hosts the third annual First Serve/ First Tee reception on Jan. 24, 2008, at the Caprock Winery at 6 p.m. The special guest speaker will include Tommy Mcvay, director of football operations at Texas Tech.

This annual event is held to give the community a chance to meet the Lady Raiders and coaches of both the women's tennis and women's golf teams. A silent auction of Texas Tech memorabilia will be held along with an introduction of all teams and individual team awards. Cost of the event is $15. The women's tennis team will take the court this Saturday, Jan. 26, as they host Texas State and Texas-Pan American at the McLeod Tennis Center. Women's golf opens their season against Purdue at the Puerto Rico Invitational on Feb. 24.
