LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team heads to Houston, Texas, this weekend, Feb. 11-12, to compete in two matches. The Lady Raiders open play against Rice at 3 p.m. on Friday. Tech will continue play against Houston at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The Lady Raiders started the season with a very competitive weekend on the road. Tech lost 7-0 to Oregon on Friday and 4-3 to San Diego St. on Saturday.

"We are excited to get back on the court after performing well last weekend," said head coach Cari Groce. "Both Rice and Houston are tough teams and well coached, I expect great tennis this weekend. Our players are ready to make things happen in the win column!"

The Lady Raiders record for the spring season is currently 0-2. After going to Houston they will take a week off of competition and get back in action Feb. 25-27 when they will travel to Las Vegas, Nev. for the UNLV Invitational.
