The team is excited to enter the weekend back at McLeod Tennis Center, with hopes of good weather, after a 7-0 sweep of Colorado State last Sunday. The No. 53 Lady Raiders have hosted their last seven consecutive matches indoors at the Lubbock Country Club. This will be the first meeting between Tech and Middle Tennessee State, and after 25 years Brigham Young and the Lady Raiders will square off. The team defeated Air Force last season 6-1, and hopes to come out ahead in this weekend's competition. Tech opened Big 12 action last Saturday as they faced the Colorado Buffaloes. To begin the match, the Lady Raiders dropped the doubles point as the Buffs' Jendrian and Sedivec defeated the junior transfer Brenna Jackson and Kerryn Potgieter. In singles, Colorado nearly swept the Lady Raiders, but suffered a loss in the No. 2 position as Tech senior Lakann Wagley was the only one able to secure a win. Heading into the Sunday's match against Colorado State, head Coach Cari Groce continued to mix-and-match within her roster and moved the undefeated duo of Janet Durham and Samantha van der Drift into the No. 1 doubles spot. The two went 2-0 on the weekend and improved their overall doubles record to 5-0.
