LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 32 Texas Tech Lady Raider tennis team will get a tough test over the next three days, as they face three ranked opponents in three days.

Texas Tech takes on No. 47 Long Beach State on Friday, No. 36 Utah on Saturday and No. 39 UNLV on Sunday. All matches are set for 11 a.m. CT.

“One through seven, our lineup is pretty solid right now,” said Lady Raider head coach Todd Petty. “If we play the way we are capable of, then we can continue to grow as a team heading into Big 12 play. What I would like for us to do is play with a lot of confidence and energy and see where we are at the end of the weekend.”

Texas Tech will be trying to solidify its highest ranking ever. The Lady Raiders have steadily climbed from No. 48 to open the season to its current position at No. 32.

The Lady Raiders are riding a five-match winning streak, which has been propelled by the team’s strong doubles play this season. Tech has won the doubles point in five of seven matches.

In singles play this season, several players have not lost a match yet – Kenna Kilgo (5-0), Nikki Sanders (6-0), Rashmi Teltumbde (5-0) and Caroline Starck (5-0).
