No. 65 Women's Tennis Travels to Hawai'i for Two Matches
March 13, 2006 Lubbock, Texas - Texas Tech women's tennis will be spending spring break in Honolulu, Hawai'i, where they will be playing matches against Wyoming and Hawaii. Tech will face Wyoming, Wed., March 15, at 2 p.m. and Hawai'i, Thurs., March 16, at 2 p.m. The No. 65 Lady Raiders are currently sitting at 8-4 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 matches. Cigdem Duru and Janet Durham lead the squad in singles play. Both players have posted 9-3 records. In doubles play, Erin Hunter and Katja Kovacic have led the way with an 8-4 record with the duo of Durham and Duru coming through with a 7-1 showing. The Wyoming Cowgirls have posted a 6-4 record overall and a Mountain West record of 0-1. The Lady Raiders lead the series with Wyoming, 1-0. Hawai'i has yet to claim its' first win of the 2006 season as they are sitting at 0-10 overall and 0-2 in WAC play. This will be the first match up between the two teams.
