HATTIESBURG, Mississippi - Playing their first road of match of the season, the Texas Tech women's tennis team came up on the short end of a 6-3 score Wednesday against the University of Southern Mississippi. The loss drops Tech to 4-8 overall (2-4 in Big 12).

The Red Raiders started out well, winning the first two singles matches of the day. But those would be the only singles victories for Tech.
