LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team took on 64th-ranked University of Houston at the Penick-Allison Tennis Center in Austin, Texas, defeating the Cougars, 5-1. The two teams squared off at 10 a.m. and due to cold weather, only played singles matches.

Four of Tech's players picked up strong wins against Houston. The fifth point came from No. 6 Kendall Brooks who won by default.

The Red Raiders will face the University of Texas tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. before returning home to face the University of Oklahoma on Tues., March 26, at 12 p.m.
