Texas Tech Tennis Teams Jump In The Rankings|

LUBBOCK, Texas – Both Texas Tech tennis teams climbed in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll. The Lady Raiders are No. 32, while the Red Raiders are 29.
The Red Raiders have climbed from No. 55 in February to No. 29 this week. It is the highest ranking for Texas Tech since being ranked 27th on Feb. 24, 2013.
The Lady Raiders jumped up a spot to No. 32 from last week’s season-high No. 33. Texas Tech started the season ranked No. 18, but slipped after being mired in a four-match losing streak in February.
For the Red Raiders, Hugo Dojas jumped up to No. 95 this week, after being No. 101 last week. His highest ranking this season came at No. 58. Dojas is 14-9 this season, playing No. 2 singles for the Red Raiders. He is 27-16 in two seasons at Texas Tech.
For the Lady Raiders, the doubles team of Kenna Kilgo and Samantha Adams is currently No. 38 and the highest ranked tandem in the Big 12. Adams and Kilgo are 16-7 this season as a tandem and 64-25 over the last three seasons, including a pair of trips to the NCAA Doubles Championships. Sanders and Teltumbde are 13-6 this season and 37-11 over the last two seasons.
The men will host a pair of matches this weekend, while the Lady Raiders travel to West Virginia and Iowa State.
